Karnaval Blues: No Talisman Needed

Dance is the opposite of sports. Dance is tantric, collective and in sync. It is liminal poetry and estatic. Think of the Rockettes, or rather the Las Vegas High Rythemettes of 1962, there is something mesmerizing in a multitude of individuals moving as a gestalt. Interpretive dance routines that rely on the flow of one in body. One in mind. Sports is the counterpart. Moving opposite, if not at least out of sync. In opposition to. Trying to anticipate what the competitor is going to do. In dance it's not your competitor it is your partner. Oh man, those dance partners. Touching another and moving in tandem. If someone, anyone, on a field or on a street, is aggressively running toward me with no good intentions of mine I will slide out of the way. Leave whatever their whistle ass neck wants so bad they are going after it looking like a savage fool. They can have it. The ball, the used Gucci bag, makes no difference.

So, the sports mentality has proved a problem for me. To this day it does in larger matters that are much dearer to my existence for me and my posterity. If you don't fix this mentality of the people who cares who is in government because they were elected by an unwell society. Don't fix the government. Fix the people. The people are like that foundation of sand, not solid. Those with thin boundaries know, like the Greek trickster Hermes (his color is orange), this is not a rational place. It's dense chaos will follow nature's cycle of death and eventual rebirth. No man is an island, we are all one in thing and of one mind.

Then this leads to another near and dear matter. As societies become more complex they disengage with the nature, the natural and the supernatural. Scientists opinion of psychic phenomena is the lowest among the highest status scientists. Today's supernatural is tomorrow's science. A clear relationship exists between societal destruction and the supernatural as shown by John Keel in the UFO field, Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Chairman of Harvard's Afro American Studies department, Arnold van Gennep, Lucien Levy-Bruhl, Sigmud Freud. And so on. As these ancient practices, medicines, and access to divine is intercepted by the powers that be, the Karnaval continues with Kaskade of Klowns. Shit does flow downhill.

Let's go with tenderness, not ammunition. Keep ammo on the far deck.
